Sabbath – Exile
The people of Israel end the story of the Old Testament by going in to exile and then coming back but remaining subjugated. What are the consequences of neglected rest? As we spend the summer looking at the spiritual practices that will grow us to be more like Jesus, we must be aware of our inclination to work from the wrong motivation and strength.

Sabbath – Egypt
Where is your trust? The place where our trust lies is ultimately what we rest on. Israel learned hard lessons about trust in Egypt throughout their story. If we are going to find the rest God desires we have to say no to other places of trust.

Sabbath – Eden
As a prelude to our series about spiritual disciplines, we want to lay a foundation of rest. Though we are going to learn some great tools for deepening our relationship with Jesus, it is important to begin from the right place. In this first message, we will look at God’s design for work and rest in the lives of his people.

To Him
We’ve reached the end of this series in the book of Romans. Paul closes as he opened this letter, with his eyes firmly on bringing glory to God in Jesus. As we take in all we’ve learned about the gospel, let us follow Paul’s example and live our lives “To Him”.

Modeling The Message
It is so important to walk your talk if you want to have influence. Paul is taking time at the close of his letter to the Roman church to practice what he’s been preaching.

Intentional
What does it look like to live a life on purpose? Paul is finishing his letter with some reminders and greetings, and every line is still written with purpose and a calling to purpose.
