    LIZ WESTON

    From Her Website:

"I’m an award-winning** personal finance columnist, speaker, commentator and author of several books about money. I earned the Certified Financial Planner® designation in 2016.I write for the personal finance site NerdWallet, and my question-and-answer column “Money Talk” appears in newspapers throughout the country, including the Los Angeles Times, the San Diego Union-Tribune, Palm Beach Post, the Portland Oregonian and others.

My book “Your Credit Score” is a national best-seller now in its fifth edition. The New York Times called one of my other books, “The 10 Commandments of Money: Survive and Thrive in the New Economy,” a “wonderful basic personal finance book…supportive of people struggling to understand these topics and trying to make ends meet.”

    LIBBIE HALL

    From Her Goodreads Page:

"What do we do when life doesn't go as planned? What do we do when our choices and the choices of those we love negatively affect us? How do we respond when life hurts? How do we get out of bed in the morning, much less live out God's good and perfect plan for our life?

As Libbie Hall put one foot in front of the of the other she learned that all things really do work together for good for those who love Him. The decision to expose all that went on inside of her during one of the most difficult times of her life wasn't easy. Naturally, she was concerned for how she would be seen by others, but the drive to bring freedom for even just one other person spurred her on. She shares her experiences, thoughts and struggles over a four year period, and how her relationship with an overwhelmingly loving God helped her find hope in the midst of pain."

And GREAT music selected just for you!

    "Impact Interviews and Music" - Knotts/Downing (7-1-20)

Welcome to the newest entrant to our Impact Radio USA stable of shows, with "Impact Interviews and Music". The title says it all, as we provide exhilarating interviews with some terrific people and, of course, we augment the interviews with great music!

Each episode of "Impact Interviews and Music" airs LIVE every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 10:00 am ET, then repeats at 10:00 pm ET on the same date.

On today's show, we spoke with Judith Knotts and Andrea Downing:

    JUDITH KNOTTS

    From Her Amazon Page:

"Homeless people can be some of life’s greatest teachers. Judith Knotts shares their stories and the lessons she has learned from spending time among the homeless people of her community. You Are My Brother is a collection of short stories, all true, with a thread connecting them. They are about the author’s encounters with homeless people and the epiphanies that they both experienced from meeting.

Although it’s a collection of stories, at its core, it is an inspirational book meant to connect all of us to a distinctly different environment and to each other—stimulating reflection and possibly change."

    ANDREA DOWNING

    From Her Website:

"Andrea Downing has spent most of her life in the UK where she received an M.A. from the University of Keele in Staffordshire. She married and raised a beautiful daughter and stayed on to teach and write, living in the Derbyshire Peak District, the English Lake District and the Chiltern Hills before finally moving into London. During this time, family vacations were often on guest ranches in the American West, where she and her daughter have clocked up some 25 ranches to date. In addition, she has traveled widely throughout Europe, South America, and Africa, living briefly in Nigeria. In 2008 she returned to the city of her birth, NYC, but frequently exchanges the canyons of city streets for the wide open spaces of the West."

And some absolutely GREAT music for you!

Thousands of people have played her music and discovered the joy and beauty of playing music that is both educational (helping instrumentalists learn basic musical skills) and also musical, engaging their imagination and encouraging them to stay in the instrumental music program. In addition to concert band, she has written for solo flute with band, solo clarinet with band, brass band, string orchestra, solo flute, flute with piano accompaniment, and music for flute duet, trio, quartet and choir. All of her compositions and arrangements have been published. Her publishers include Queenwood Publications (now Queenwood/Kjos), C. L. After a successful career spanning 30+ years as both a composer and publisher of educational music, Anne is now writing chamber music for brass and woodwinds, all published by McGinty Music. An expert in writing for wind instruments, Anne is also composing for diverse instrumental combinations to showcase their varied timbral possibilities in modern, tonal music."

    CLAUDIA HERSHMAN

    From Her Website - https://www.claudiahershman.com

"I feel fortunate to be able to experience the joy that comes from being creative. After studying art for many years, learning about different techniques and a variety of media, I decided to forget the rules and experiment.

OBSERVING HOW CHILDREN MAKE ART WITH NO PARAMETERS, I WAS INSPIRED TO EXPLORE MY CREATIVE PROCESS WITH SUCH FREEDOM SPONTANEITY AND JOY.

Experimentation and a love of color, shape, and pattern are the focus of my process.

My prints and paintings evolve without preconception. When a piece begins to have it’s own life, a dialog between us emerges.

I add marks or collage with color or pencil, and then react to the marks, colors, drips, and accidents, even working with my fingers, to move further into the piece. When all comes together, the piece is finally is finished. Making art, for me, is not about intent, but about the experience itself."

And music by the Rolling Stones, Peabo Bryson, Paul Davis, and more!
