Joey shares his opinions on certain player including Chandler Stephenson, Adam Henrique, Sean Monahan and a few others. It also includes Matt Duchene, who has been a hot topic of conversation this offseason. How the Stars deal with Duchene will be rather interesting because Joey believes there is not a better fit on the market. Other discussions within the episode include the possibility of Patrick Kane coming to Dallas and potential trade targets for the Stars of player on expiring deals at the end of next season.

The NHL offseason is beginning to heat up and the Dallas Stars made their first move by trading Ty Dellandrea yesterday. On today's episode of Locked On Stars, we look at how his departure could impact Chris Tanev, Matt Duchene, and other moves the Stars make this offseason. NHL Analyst Darren Dreger was on TSN radio the other day and made a comment that Tanev and Dallas both would like for him to return which is great news. We look into what his projected contract could look like and how Dallas must make it work along with Thomas Harley who is an RFA and other players that must be paid in the future. Joey explains why it makes sense for the Stars to resign both Matt Duchene and Tanev this offseason. Plus, rumors about the Stars being interested in free agent William Carrier and how the forward group could be shaped for next season. The Dallas Stars have traded Restricted Free Agent Forward Ty Dellandrea to the San Jose Sharks for a 2025 4th-round pick this afternoon. On today's episode of Locked On Stars, Joey reacts to the trade and why he believes this was the best move for both sides at this point in time. The Stars have a luxury of forwards in the bottom six, Sam Steel who is also an RFA played in 77 games last season and will be a priority next season along with Radek Faksa, plus the elevation of Mavrik Bourque. It's Fake Trade Tuesday on Locked On Stars! Joey goes through a possible trade scenario for the Dallas Stars that involves moving off Jason Robertson. In return, the Stars would receive right handed defenseman John Carlson from the Washington Capitals. The trade would also send Radek Faksa to Washington and Sonny Milano to Dallas in order to complete the deal. Joey weighs the pros and cons of the deal and why it might be an intriguing offer for both teams, but more importantly a way for Dallas to improve on the back end if they do not resign Chris Tanev. In the 2nd segment, we imagine a perfect place where cap space does not exist and you can pay any player whatever you want because you have all of the money. Which player would you want on the Dallas Stars in a perfect world? Joey has a couple of player on his mind, Dougie Hamilton and Mortitz Seider. In the final segment, we propose a scenario where you have to move of one of these three players for the Stars. Wyatt Johsnton, Mavrik Bourque or Logan Stankoven. The 2024 NHL Draft is 11 days away which means it's time for some draft prospect evaluations! It's Free Agent Friday on Locked On Stars! On today's episode we take a look at the top free agent wingers this summer the Dallas Stars could have their eyes on. The Dallas Stars are in good shape up front, players like Wyatt Johnston, Jason Robertson and Roope Hintz are cornerstones surrounded by Jamie Benn, Tyler Seguin and more. The Stars have questions on UFA Matt Duchene and Craig Smith along with RFA Ty Dellandrea and Sam Steel. Dallas may not have a ton of holes to fill, but it's always worth a look to see what's out there. A class headlined by Jake Guentzal is not the type of player Dallas could afford or need for the matter. We take a look at names like Jack Roslovic and Dakota Joshua, young, versatile forwards that could slide in on the bottom six and make immediate impact. Joshua is the most intriguing with his size and physicality, something Dallas was lacking and could be a future replacement to Benn who's on the final year of his contract. Patrick Kane, Tyler Toffoli and Jake DeBrusk are also names that will bring a buzz, but Dallas will certainly be out on.
