Celtic Exchange Weekly: Euro Celts, Signings Scrutinised & 510 Days In Paradise

Celtic Exchange Weekly: Euro Celts, Signings Scrutinised & 510 Days In Paradise

🍀 Celtic drew a line under the 2023/24 campaign just over a week ago but as we know Celtic never stops and there's always plenty to cover - even in the close season.
Several of the Bhoys are heading to the Euros with Scotland, but frustratingly Matt O'Riley won't be joining them on the big stage and we look at the ramifications of that from a Celtic point of view.
Elsewhere we assess the impact (or not!) of the seven first team signings made last summer and what future some of those players may yet go on to have at Celtic Park.
Finally we discuss two key figures who played a notable part in Celtic's history some 30 years+ ago - one off the park, and one on it - with both featuring in recent special episodes of the show.
🎙️ Join Tino, Mif & Joe for all that and more in this latest episode of The Celtic Exchange Weekly.

Murdo MacLeod | A Life In Football, A Life In Celtic

Murdo MacLeod | A Life In Football, A Life In Celtic

🍀 A select few people in Celtic’s history have won league titles as both a player AND as part of the management team.
But fewer still can claim to have done so in such dramatic fashion as Murdo MacLeod.
When Ten Men Won The League on a spring night in 1979. When against all the odds the Miracle At Love Street occurred in 1986. AND THEN when we 'Stopped The Ten' in 1998 in yet another final day decider, there’s just one man who played a pivotal part in all three of those most memorable title wins in our history.
Murdo MacLeod's Celtic Story is genuine Roy Of The Rovers, stuff with the powerful midfielder making a habit of late day drama in some of Celtic's most memorable trophy wins.
He's also encountered drama of a different nature off the park however, having undergone lifesaving surgery not once, but twice since his playing days.
Ahead of the forthcoming release of his biography "Murdo, Murdo" penned by long term friend and journalist Hugh Keevins, Murdo shares with us the tales of an incredible life in football, on and off the park.

Celtic And The Scottish Cup | A Lifetime Of Memories, With Celtic Author & Historian Matt Corr

Celtic And The Scottish Cup | A Lifetime Of Memories, With Celtic Author & Historian Matt Corr

Adam Idah’s Hampden winner at the weekend means Celtic have now lifted the Scottish Cup Trophy 42 times in our fabled history – and Matt Corr’s been there for almost half of those!

The Celtic Author & Historian has experiences of being amongst crowds of over 100,000 at the National Stadium in the 70s, right up until our most recent triumph and joins us here on The Celtic Exchange to tell us of his Top 5 (ish!) Scottish Cup memories.

Matt’s no stranger to a trip to Hampden but right now he’s on the eve of a very different type of trip in the name of Celtic, but it’s one that’s equally special in its own way.

Along with a dozen other volunteers Matt and his brother Robert will be travelling to Malawi with Celtic FC Foundation to support the incredible work carried out there by Classrooms For Malawi (CFM) organisation.

It’s one which has been a few years in the making and Matt in his capacity as author, historian and all round knowledge in Celtic is offering something a little different in his efforts to raise funds for this most worthwhile of causes.
