31. TEA: Sheila Williams: Fierce - Our Conversation Begins Pt 1 of 3
I can't express how much I relished the opportunity to talk with author Sheila Williams! Juanita, the movie based on her book Dancing on the Edge of the Roof, made me seek her out for a conversation. During our conversation, I learned about Fierce - her first opera and what a librettist does! It debuts in July 2022 as part of the Cincinnati Opera. I've got tickets. I also have a hankering to see Fierce performed where I live now (Grand Rapids, MI) and where I grew up (Detroit, MI).
