Welcome to my Podcast!

In about two days’ time, it will have been exactly three years since I released the last episode of this geography Podcast…

Nevertheless… in this episode, I will be looking at part of the A-Level Geography course, Hazardous Environments, specifically tornadoes and how they are formed.

A tornado is a violently spinning column of upward moving air, which travels quickly across the land, at speeds of up to 300 km/h. Most tornadoes have a short lifespan, lasting several seconds to just over an hour. Do note that tornadoes are not considered large-scale atmospheric events as most are less than 80 meters in diameter, although they can be up to 3 kilometers across.
