کبھی کبھی مرے دل میں خیال آتا ہے

آج آپکی سماعتوں کی نذر

کبھی کبھی مرے دل میں خیال آتا ہے
کہ زندگی تری زلفوں کی نرم چھاؤں میں
گزرنے پاتی تو شاداب ہو بھی سکتی تھی
یہ تیرگی جو مری زیست کا مقدر ہے
تری نظر کی شعاعوں میں کھو بھی سکتی تھی
عجب نہ تھا کہ میں بیگانۂ الم ہو کر
ترے جمال کی رعنائیوں میں کھو رہتا
ترا گداز بدن تیری نیم باز آنکھیں
انہی حسین فسانوں میں محو ہو رہتا
پکارتیں مجھے جب تلخیاں زمانے کی
ترے لبوں سے حلاوت کے گھونٹ پی لیتا
حیات چیختی پھرتی برہنہ سر اور میں
گھنیری زلفوں کے سائے میں چھپ کے جی لیتا
مگر یہ ہو نہ سکا اور اب یہ عالم ہے
کہ تو نہیں ترا غم تیری جستجو بھی نہیں
گزر رہی ہے کچھ اس طرح زندگی جیسے
اسے کسی کے سہارے کی آرزو بھی نہیں
زمانے بھر کے دکھوں کو لگا چکا ہوں گلے
گزر رہا ہوں کچھ انجانی رہ گزاروں سے
مہیب سائے مری سمت بڑھتے آتے ہیں
حیات و موت کے پر ہول خارزاروں سے
نہ کوئی جادۂ منزل نہ روشنی کا سراغ
بھٹک رہی ہے خلاؤں میں زندگی میری
انہی خلاؤں میں رہ جاؤں گا کبھی کھو کر
میں جانتا ہوں مری ہم نفس مگر یوں ہی
کبھی کبھی مرے دل میں خیال آتا ہے
کہ زندگی تری زلفوں کی نرم چھاؤں میں
گزرنے پاتی تو شاداب ہو بھی سکتی تھی
