AconC (Angela con Courtney) are one of Houston Indy Media’s production teams providing an intersectional view on news, community and culture. Houston, we have a problem
Last week, new General Manager David Baes, unilaterally obliterated the program schedule by removing all of its ethnically and culturally diverse programming off prime hours and away from FM. Primarily BIPOC programmers saw their shows moved away from prime hours and completely off FM or just removed all together. Angela con Courtney (AconC) spoke to several of the programmers affected and unpacked this whitewashing of our publc airwaves.
