POSTCAST: Howard Fans Eight as Giants Mount Comeback to Walk-Off Cubs

The San Francisco Giants scored five unanswered runs, including three in the bottom of the ninth inning, to beat the Chicago Cubs in a walk-off win. Wilmer Flores drew a bases-loaded walk to score the winning run, but it was Spencer Howard's phenomenal pitching that kept the San Francisco Giants in this one late. He posted eight strikeouts over 4.2 innings of scoreless relief work and put the team in position to mount a late comeback. The win snaps the San Francisco Giants second-longest losing streak of the season.

The San Francisco Giants couldn't avoid the sweep today as they fell 5-3 to the St. Louis Cardinals. The loss pushes the San Francisco Giants losing streak to five games. Sonny Gray was dominant on the mound for the St. Louis Cardinals and carried a perfect game into the 7th inning. Brandon Crawford made a nice play at third late in the game to spoil the San Francisco Giants comeback bid and drove in an insurance run in the 8th inning for the St. Louis Cardinals. A tough stretch for the San Francisco Giants right now.

POSTCAST: Cardinals Home Runs Beat Up Giants Pitching Staff, 4th Consecutive Loss

The San Francisco Giants pitching was pulverized by the St. Louis Cardinals today as they fall 9-4 at Busch Stadium. Four home runs from the St. Louis Cardinals was more than enough to beat the San Francisco Giants today as the offense was inconsistent with runners in scoring position yet again. Jordan Hicks struggled in the humid heat today as he never found the grip on his signature splitfinger fastball in one of his worst starts as a San Francisco Giant. Hicks surrendered five runs and two homers before exiting after four innings pitched.

POSTCAST: Giants Fall to Cardinals at Rickwood Field, Negro Leagues Remembered

The San Francisco Giants fell to the St. Louis Cardinals tonight 6-5 in a historic game at Rickwood Field in Birmingham, Alabama which paid homage to Willie Mays and the Negro Leagues. The event was dripping in pageantry, featuring numerous tributes to players of the Negro Leagues past. Amidst the historic moment, Keaton Winn was terrible on the mound as he gave up five runs in less than three innings of work for the San Francisco Giants.
