THE GOOD SAMARITAN LUKE 10_25-37 (1)

THE GOOD SAMARITAN LUKE 10_25-37 (1)

Dr. Bell begins discussing the story of the "Good Samaritan." While many are familiar with the term and some know the story, few fully grasp its message. This message was not very popular among the disciples; in fact, Luke was the only one to include it in his gospel. He did not present it as a parable taught by Jesus, leading scholars to believe that the "Good Samaritan" story was an actual event.

The story is not just about performing a good deed for someone in need; it is about the grace and mercy we should extend to our neighbor as believers. This raises the question: who do we consider our neighbor? The story challenges our perceptions, revealing that our neighbor is not just the friend next door or someone within our community. The "Good Samaritan" teaches that everyone, including our enemies, is our neighbor. This narrative exposes the true nature of our hearts and calls us to show compassion and kindness to all, regardless of our differences.

    DUNAMIS_ OBEDIENCE

    DUNAMIS_ OBEDIENCE

Dr. Bell discusses how being obedient to the Spirit of God enables us to walk in His power. She emphasizes that God's protection surrounds His people, and His Spirit comforts us, helping us endure challenges. She references the Apostle Paul, who remained obedient even up to the point of experiencing a shipwreck. While obedience may come at a cost, the sacrifices we make are insignificant compared to the redemption and rewards provided by God.

    A PECULIAR PEOPLE JOHN 14_30-31

Dr. Bell was in fellowship with her church home at Anointed Touch Ministry International, under the leadership of Apostle Dr. Cheryl Williams. Dr. Bell shared a powerful message emphasizing that God has provided us with the necessary instructions to walk in the vocation of our calling. She highlighted how Jesus, nearing the end of His ministry, told His disciples that He would not speak much more with them because the time had come for them to truly believe. She illustrated how Jesus consistently walked in obedience to His Father’s will, rather than His own. Dr. Bell urged the congregation to prioritize glorifying our Father in heaven above honoring any human flesh.

    BEING PRODIGAL JONAH CHAPTERS 1-4

    BEING PRODIGAL JONAH CHAPTERS 1-4

What was really going on with Jonah? Why did he not want to go to Nineveh? Often, when this story is told, we focus on the dramatic rescue of Jonah being saved in the belly of the great fish. However, we rarely discuss why or how Jonah ended up there in the first place.

The truth about Jonah is not a feel-good message designed to fill offering plates or church pews. Instead, his story serves as a powerful lesson for anyone walking in disobedience, encouraging them to turn from their wicked ways and fulfill God's call for their life.

Jonah did not want to go to Nineveh because he harbored deep animosity toward its people. He did not want them to be saved. Jonah admitted to God that he knew God would have mercy on the Ninevites, and he resented this possibility.

In chapter one of the book of Jonah, we see Jonah paying a fare to board a ship heading to Tarshish—deliberately going in the opposite direction of God's command. Jonah's disobedience caused havoc in the lives of the mariners on the ship. They lost cargo, money, and possessions—losses they would not have incurred had Jonah not boarded their boat. Jonah's selfish disobedience brought them to the brink of financial ruin.

In chapter two, Jonah finds himself in the belly of a great fish. It is only then that he prays to God, essentially throwing a pity party from within the fish. In chapter three, God speaks to Jonah again, reiterating His original command for Jonah to go to Nineveh and deliver His message. In chapter four, Jonah angrily confronts God, expressing his displeasure that God would save the Ninevites. God then points out that Jonah's priorities are not aligned with His divine plan.

    DUNAMIS_ BLESSED OF GOD

    DUNAMIS_ BLESSED OF GOD

Dr. Bell discusses the ways in which we are called blessed according to the scriptures. The blessings of God enrich our soul and are not merely the accumulation of tangible possessions. Many believe that worldly possessions are a sign of God's blessings, but this is not the case. Often, this misconception is a trick of the enemy, who is the prince of the air.

She explains that those who are humble in spirit, those who mourn, the gentle, and those who hunger and thirst for righteousness are called blessed. Similarly, the merciful, the pure in heart, the peacemakers, and those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake are blessed. It is a cause for exceeding gladness when others revile, persecute, and speak all manner of evil against you for His name's sake. These are the individuals whom God truly calls blessed.
