Tua Sidelined - Should You Care?

There’s always something to talk about with these Miami Dolphins; and that’s ok, we are here for it. The Dolphins started the season with a close road victory over a Division rival.

Many people were talking about the victory. However, there was another storyline that seemed to grab people’s attention. Miami’s starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa was sidelined twice in favor of backup Jacoby Brissett in short-yardage scenarios, Some fans cringed as this brought flashbacks of Tua being pulled in favor of Ryan Fitzpatrick last season.

The question on many minds was if this is Tua’s team, then why are they doing this. In this episode of Talking About them Dolphins, Jamie Bahamas explains whether you should be concerned or applaud the move by the Dolphins.

Dolphins at Patriots - Who Has the Edge?

    It’s Go Time!

The 2021 NFL Regular Season is about the kick-off. The Miami Dolphins will start the season on the road against a familiar foe. The Dolphins travel up north to Foxboro, Massachusetts to take on the New England Patriots.

This is a rematch of week one last season. The Dolphins fell to the Patriots 21 to 11 in a game with extremely poor quarterback play. Ryan Fitzpatrick had three interceptions to no touchdowns. There are two different starting quarterbacks this time around. Call this the Alabama Quarterback Bowl. The Dolphins are starting the season with Tua Tagovailoa under center. On the other end, the rookie quarterback from Alabama, Mac Jones, gets the nod and will be making his debut.

Who has the edge in this matchup?

In the latest episode of the Talking About Them Dolphins, Jamie Bahamas gives his take on who has the upper hand in this matchup.

Do Dolphins Fans Owe Nick Saban An Apology?

Do Dolphins Fans Owe Nick Saban An Apology?

Nick Saban has been labeled the “devil” of past Miami Dolphins coaches by fans. Saban earned this title by abandoning the team mid-contract. This was after he was hired to be the next best thing since Don Shula. Not to mention he repeatedly denied the possibility of returning to coach in the NCAA as rumored swirled.

Most have filed this story as ancient history and have tried to move on. Especially with the Dolphins now seemingly in good hands with Brian Flores. Bust just like the devil likes to ruin a good time, Saban decided to open old wounds of hopeful Dolphins fans.

Saban recently said the following, “So, I decided right then when that happened that we don’t have a quarterback in the NFL, we’re not going to win. I’m getting out of here, I’m not staying here. I’m not going to be responsible for this.”

This was in reference to the Dolphins passing on Drew Brees because of a failed physical by the team’s doctors.

After hearing this, for those that were angry at Saban for abandoning the Dolphins; do you forgive him now?

    I personally say, absolutely not!

In the latest episode of the Talking About Them Dolphins, Jamie Bahamas shares how he feels about Saban’s newly revealed reasons for leaving.

What Should Miami Do With Xavien Howard?

What Should Miami Do With Xavien Howard?

Xavien Howard returned from a season-ending injury and surgery. Not only did he return, but he performed. Howard led the league in interceptions and finished third in Defensive Player of the Year voting.

Howard had a chip on his shoulder. He watched the Dolphins invest heavily in others at his position. That motivated him to remind them of his value.

Now Howard is making a bet on himself. Howard is early into a lucrative long-term contract but feels he has already outplayed that deal. The Dolphins did not expect to have to be worried about Howard’s contract this year but rather focused on other top players with expiring deals. It seems like Miami is doing just that and as a result, Howard is holding out.

This leaves the Dolphins with three options:

    1. Renegotiate Xavien Howard’s contract
    2. Trade Xavien Howard
    3. Do Nothing and Wait Xavien Howard Out

In the latest episode of the Talking About Them Dolphins, Jamie Bahamas explains which of the three options Miami should go with.
