There came Momma Duck waddling up the little grassy bump, one of my favorite things to watch from my home. But today her ordinary journey held my gaze for an unexpected reason.

It’s a familiar verse, even a beloved promise for those who love and are called for His purpose. But take a few minutes to reconsider exactly what this verse out of Romans 8 really tells us. God amazes me!

God is faithful and cannot be contrary.  Friends, God's ability to meet our needs and be God in our lives does not depend on our circumstances or on  who surrounds us or what looks possible in our flesh.  God may use your own loving, devoted family to give you what you need, and that is a sweet blessing, but don't limit God's power and promise based on your dire situation. Even if you are alone, even when there is NO WAY to see hope in where you are, if you know the Lord, He is there and He SEES YOU.  He IS faithful; it's not only what He does, it's who HE IS.  HAVE HOPE and wait on the Lord. 

Sometimes the little things shine big. And what does that have to do with holiness?
