#365 An Interview With Me(!): My New Book Disconnected: LIVE at BookBar Ctrl Alt Delete

    • Kunst

I’m excited to share this episode with you, this time it’s an interview with me! All about my new book Disconnected, which is out TODAY (January 13th 2022). I did an in person event at BookBar in London, a gorgeous independent bookstore that I recommend you visiting if you are ever in the area, and I was interviewed by the founder of the bookstore Chrissy Ryan. It felt amazing to be in person with people again after launching projects on Zoom for so long. We discussed many themes in the book; how to unplug without going cold turkey, why I don’t believe in guilt-trips or intense digital detoxes and why I think there’s a better way to create a healthy distance with your phone. We discuss our Internet selves, how to stay true to who we are online, what an e-personality is, how to slowly step away from society’s productivity obsession, how to realise when your devices are making you anxious and prompts on how to create space for yourself again. So I really hope you enjoy this conversation, and if you’d like to buy the book, in hardback, audio or e-book I have left the links below in the show-notes. Hope you enjoy, and thanks for listening!
