48: STDs, STIs and Stimga, Oh My!
Sup kids, this week the pod is back with a chat about sexually transmitted diseases, infections and other various ailments, the stigma around them and that Katie really wants a porno robe to wear to her Zoom birthday party. In a world that is doing nothing but talking about one particular virus, we thought we'd take this time to teach about some other far more long-standing and honestly more common ones. These viruses and conditions range from very curable, to treatable to at least manageable. There are some personal tales in here because, you know, having these issues is not uncommon. Getting an illness from another human, as we are now very aware, is very easy. Having that illness affect your person-bits is really what causes the stigma these diseases, their education and their treatment face. So hopefully this makes things a little less weird the next time you or someone you know feels a little itching or burning.

47: Sex on the First Date
We know you can't leave your house right now but we're pretending that you can for 35 minutes and then following it up with Dua Lipa level new rules on how to handle your first post-quarantine first date, we swear. Following up from the Taboos episode, someone reached out specifically for the hosts to talk about sex on the first date. Why is it such a THING? Why does it have to be a THING? And that's a great question and we couldn't really find a direct historical answer, but we have thoughts all the same. At the end of the day, be a slut and do whatever you want. Do what makes you feel good and remember sex is not a tool to get someone to stay or like you or whatever. Don't do that. Gross. That said, the second you get out of quarantine, everyone gets a free pass to get with one majorly regrettable person. That's the new rule. We make those rules.

There are a lot of "should I say this" or "should I do this" in dating. It feels often like a if you don't fit the mold, the system won't work for you. Frankly, that's trash and we don't care. So on this week's pod we're talking about dating taboos, why they happen, some common issues (body hair and period sex, BABYYYY) and how certain taboos can be good for you. Because guess what? Shaving your legs has a long and storied history of being sexist. The brigade against period sex does too. So this week, Amanda breaks down some BS on razors and why that's trash, Katie tells a tale of period sex in a frat house (if you can guess which one, you get a prize!!!) and basically the moral of the story is be a slut, do whatever you want.
