Big fan
Payne just keeps killing it. Every podcast he makes is well researched and beautifully done. I love everything from how the news and music inserts take you back in time to the storytelling and room for interpretation. Big fan from Germany!
Lost me on the way
Two big mistakes that, if they had been avoided, would have made "Atlanta Monster" a very good podcast: First of all, Payne Lindsey shouldn't do the talking himself, there's a reason for professional narrotors out there! What starts out very strongly in building a story and having a great 80's soundtrack is getting weaker and weaker as Lindsey tries to put too many loose ends together... at the end (episode 8 for me) he doesn't manage to establish a stringency and he breaks down under the burden he dug up himself.
Hmm
I‘m on episode 6 and I don’t know what the story is. He seems guilty. Of something at least. But there is no evidence so far. So this is quite boring as an investigation. The murder of these children is horrible of course.
