Joanna's mind ramblings about company culture, goals, mission, vision, core values, etc... maybe some booky stuff and things that I have found useful/valuable.

Part 2 of that last one... an ammendment
Salem is no more due to staffing issues and my obligatory travel to far away places. Sucks to say you suck, but I suck and failed this time around. I'm not homeless and starving yet so we will refocus on the core and go from there. HIRING... RECRUITMENT... more of that.

I love Frank - AMA
Jasmin and Maison had some great questions. I heart Frank.
BIG questions about turnover. I hope I answered it satisfactorily as it is a big question. I am open to your input as I have a different perspective on things, but it's not my perspective that really matters if things are broken.
This would make a great discussion if anyone is open to giving me their feedback on things. I haven't looked for jobs lately and when I do, I'm looking at it from my weird bias/perspective so what you see/notice is very helpful to me.
Other questions such as healthcare are also big. I should probably think about this more and take notes and organize thoughts before jumping into things. I can readdress this one after I've done some thinking.
Business philosophies... really good one. I will definitely come back to this one.
This "episode" was really thrown together and not pretty at all. Sorry. So ugly I had to record an amendment to it. I have no idea how to use Audacity. -
Update on Salem Location
Long story short is that I don't understand Salem and Salem doesn't understand me. I am choosing to focus my efforts and available resources on Portland instead. Because Portland works. Salem is not working.

Backstory of the business and is this a valuable idea?
In here is some of the story of how the business got started. I rant against higher education, I express my desire to be a gypsy, I geek out about books, I might even burp in your ear a couple times... how rude! Sorry!
Basically I pitch an idea and I want to know what you think about it.
