Society, friends and family tend to see you in a box that they have created for you. But sometimes that box is not who you truly are. It's time to tear that box up, turn it into confetti and throw it all up in the air.
Back in 2019 when I was processing my trauma and had started going to therapy I also started doin Yin Yoga. There was this amazing woman Liz Getman that taught some of the classes. Immediately I felt safe with her. She was so authentic. So true to herself. She didn't hide her messy truth. We all have messy truths but most of us hide it, wear a mask, and our true selfs can't come through. Watching her live in all her truth helped me to realize it was I did the same.
Living in your truth and all its messiness can be hard because not everyone is going to be ok with that. But once you do it for real you'll find out who truly likes you for you and who likes you for what they need from you. Liz vrooms in for this episode and we talk about all of this and more.
