Cultivating Calm in 2022 with Special Guest: Penny Sitler For The Love of Licking County

    • Firmengründung

This month on For the Love of Licking County, we had the pleasure of spending time with Penny Sitler, the Executive Director of Mental Health America of Licking County. May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and we wanted to take time to discuss the extreme importance of your mental health. We named this month’s topic – Cultivating Calm in 2022. Penny is such a wonderful woman, and a delight to spend time with – she genuinely cares about people and their mental health. We were able to discuss everything from collective trauma, to burn-out, and prevention and recovery. We got very vulnerable on this months show, and we wanted to be sure to offer a few tangible take-a-ways too. We offer you this reminder – it’s ok to not be ok! We discuss the importance of saying no, setting boundaries, and how periods of rest are important. Jamie asks, “Why do we run to the things that kill us to make us stronger”, and Penny offers us a self care quote that you’ll want to write down! Be sure to check back here Tuesday for show releases, and updates. If you don’t have time to watch the show, we encourage you to find us (For the LOVE of Licking County) on Apple Podcast or Spotify this month.  If you or anyone you know needs help, please visit Mental Health America of Licking County’s website: http://mhalc.org, or please dial 211. For the Love of Licking County is brought to you by the Licking County Chamber of Commerce.
