    In dieser CPPD-Podcastfolge ERINNERUNGSFUTUR spricht Nicole Schweiß mit Sharon Dodua Otoo, über ihren neuen Roman  "So, in etwa, ist es geschehen" und dessen Beziehung zu einer pluralen Erinnerungskultur und -praxis.  Der Titel des Romans signalisiert bewusst Unbestimmtes und fordert die Leser*innen auf, die Ereignisse selbst zu deuten. Der Plot verknüpft eine persönliche Schuld, Amata gesteht aus der Untersuchungshaft den Mord an ihrem Chef Brockhaus, mit vielen historischen Schichten: die NS‑Geschichte (z. B. das Bombardement der Kap Arcona 1945), koloniale Verbrechen und jüngere Proteste wie Black‑Lives‑Matter oder das Sterben flüchtender Menschen im Mittelmeer sind einige Beispiele. Durch die Familiengeschichte von Amata, deren Großvater NS‑Überlebender ist, und die Verstrickungen des Chefs in eine KZ‑Familie, wird deutlich, wie vergangene Gewalt in Gegenwart und individuelle Psyche nachhallt. Sharon plädiert für solidarische Gedenkräume, in denen verschiedene Diskriminierungserfahrungen gleichzeitig sichtbar werden ohne Herausforderungen zu verkennen.     In our second episode, Jo Frank speaks with Cyril Hovorun, a Ukrainian Orthodox theologian and academic, about the religious dimension of Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine. Hovorun analyses how the Russian Orthodox Church under Patriarch Kirill has actively helped shape the so-called ‘Russian World’ ideology – a quasi-theological doctrine that legitimises Russian expansion as a sacred mission and provides the ideological basis for the invasion of Ukraine. Drawing on decades of experience at the intersection of church, politics and international dialogue – including as a research fellow at Yale and Columbia and as a professor of ecclesiology and international relations at Ignatius College in Stockholm – Hovorun examines the roots of religious nationalism, the role of ecumenical institutions as silent enablers of violence, and the limits of interfaith dialogue.
