Meta Keijzer-de Ruijter graduated from the faculty of chemical engineering at TU Delft in 1992. After working in the chemical industry for several years she studied corporate education at FCE. In 2004 she returned to TU Delft as the head of the computer training department. Soon after, she developed the digital testing system at the university, overseeing software selection, establishment of a support organization, teacher training and computer exam rooms. She now works in the ICT/R&D – Innovation department, enabling her to focus on the use of advanced features in Maple T.A. and the development of in-house expertise in these advanced features.

    Dr. Matthew Demers is an assistant professor at the University of Guelph. After completing his Ph.D. in mathematics in 2012, he was hired at the University of Guelph as a teaching-focused professor within the School of Engineering and received a grant with the goal of transforming the delivery of two major first-year calculus courses. Currently under the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, he instructs many very large undergraduate classes centering on calculus and differential equations for physical science and engineering students. Dr. Demers has received many accolades for his contributions to the university, being voted "Professor of the Year" by engineering students in five consecutive years, and being recognized with the prestigious "Innovation in Teaching" award by the University of Guelph Faculty Association in 2016. In the last installment of this 2-part podcast, Dr. Matthew Demers talks with Maplesoft and DigitalEd CEO Jim Cooper about using an adaptive testing strategy and the gamification of online education.
