Episode 3: Kunst und Klassenzimmer: Max – Artists in Residence an Schulen

In Folge 3 des Schering Stiftung Podcasts widmen wir uns dem Programm Max – Artists in Residence an Schulen, einer Kooperation mit der Stiftung Brandenburger Tor. Die Schering Stiftung hat im Jahr 2020 die Residenz der mexikanisch-deutschen Künstlerin Vanessa Farfán an der Carl-Humann-Grundschule im Prenzlauer Berg finanziell unterstützt. Im Gespräch erläutert Caroline Armand (Leiterin des Programmbereichs Ästhetische Bildung und Literatur, Stiftung Brandenburger Tor), warum ästhetische Bildung an Schulen so wichtig ist, wann Max gegründet wurde und wie sich das Programm seither entwickelt hat. Vanessa Farfán berichtet von ihrer täglichen Arbeit in einem Atelier, das sich mitten in einer Grundschule befindet, ihren Projekten mit den Schüler*innen und darüber, wie sehr die Kinder, aber auch sie selbst, von diesem Austausch profitieren. Wir möchten mit dieser Folge einen Einblick geben in unsere Projekte des Bereichs kulturelle Bildung, die wir als Schering Stiftung mit großer Freude fördern und begleiten und die uns besonders am Herzen liegen. In 2020, the Schering Stiftung provided financial support to the residency of the Mexican-German artist Vanessa Farfán at the Carl Humann Elementary School in Prenzlauer Berg. In this conversation, Caroline Armand (Program Director, Aesthetic Education and Literature, Stiftung Brandenburger Tor) explains why aesthetic education in schools is so important, when Max was founded, and how the program has evolved since. Vanessa Farfán talks about her daily work in a studio that is located right in the middle of the school and her projects with the students, and about how much the children as well as she herself benefit from this exchange. With this episode, we want to provide an insight into our projects in the field of cultural education, which are particularly dear to our hearts, and it is with great joy that we at the Schering Stiftung support these projects.
