GET OUT AND RIDE Podcast is brought to you by Crank It Up Motorsports. This podcast was designed with the listener in mind. The intent of the podcast is to give others the opportunity to hear exciting real conversations with Professional Athletes in the Motorsports Industry so WE as the fans and community have stronger bonds together and with the professionals. On the Podcast, I will also interview motorsport business owners, up and coming athletes, YouTube influencers, and manufacturers of the machines that we ride each day.
#32 Kombustion Motorsports Ryan Flanders and Travis Gardner
Starting up a business can very challenging. If you start up a business you need to have a service or a product. Then you need to share that service or product with other people. But finding those people can be challenging. Fortunately when Travis Gardner had an idea, he knew that his buddy Ryan Flanders could help create a unique business.
Almost a decade later, I sat down with Travis Gardner and Ryan Flanders both co-owners of Kombustion Motorsports in Salt Lake City, and had the opportunity to learn about the only side by side shop of its kind in the Salt Lake Valley. This shop is the place to visit for all of your side by side needs and desires. If you have a friend that bought a new RZR and put some wheels and tires, a sound system, light bars, bucket seats, and even an Ipad as a command center, you can be assured that if you take your machine to Kombustion, your buddy will be jealous of your ride over his new one.
#31 Aaron Fraser Diamond Movement Business Owner
I have really enjoyed learning more and more about how to be discovered in this digital world. In the beginning I did not believe that I needed social media and that everybody in the world would find my podcast and it would be an overnight success.... That still has not happened.
However I came across an ad on Instagram that featured a gentleman that is reaching out to athletes and others that want to grow in their world. Aaron Fraser kindly accepted the offer when I reached out to be a guest on the show. This episode could not have come at a better time.
In this episode not only will you learn about Aaron's past, but you will also be introduced to his business. He helps people like myself become "known" or "marketed" in the motorsports industry. He is a professional marketer with a vast knowledge and experience in the sector and he wants to share it with everybody.
#30 Matt Musgrove Photographer Business Owner
When you make plans to have a great vacation with your family only to find out a pandemic has taken that away, you still find a way to interview great people!
I recorded over the phone a great interview with Matt and learned about his life growing up and his passion for photography. He has used a lens on a camera for over a decade and is well known in the enduro and extreme moto.
Matt is known to get a one a bike from time to time only after he is able to find the time aside from running an event business that has been a big part of Extreme moto. This episode is packed with great lessons and inspiration from an individual that is not afraid to tell you that he may not know the answer, but you can count on him helping and getting the job done.
#29 Josh Knight ISDE Gold Medalist
I have met a good handful of people in my lifetime. There are many that stick out as a majority of the guests I had on the show do. This guest however is different, and I am excited to share his story with you!
Josh Knight is the kind of guy that if you needed a shirt, he would take the one off of his back and give it to you. He is that genuine kind and humble individual we all need in our lives. From a humble happy life, Josh shares his passion for the sport and opens a new door to the podcast.
Josh is not one to brag about his success but he has achieved multiple wins in multiple races. He loves this sport! He has participated and qualified to race what is known as the Olympics of Enduro called Internation Six Days Enduro. With the team USA Josh has brought home 3 Gold medals and 1 Silver medal. That is a great accomplishment for USA!
Finding riders like Josh is always exciting. At young ages, these guys have so much experience and knowledge, which they can share and coach others to be successful. Josh is of course no exception and I am excited to share this episode with you. Enjoy!
#28 Jesse James Morales FMX Rider
One sport within the industry gets mixed attention. A majority of fans in the segment of FMX only get to know big names that compete at events like X Games or Nitro Circus World Games. But FMX is not as popular as Supercross or Motocross. Fan base is smaller and more concentrated. Non the less, this part of the industry is still growing and quite popular among dirt bikers and non dirt bikers alike. FMX is just entertaining.
Jesse James Morales reached out to record an episode. I was more than happy to do so. Seeing how he lived in Texas, we would have to record over the phone, which is not the most ideal way to record podcast episodes. We were finally able to pick a date and time, then began our session. I was taken away with the value Jesse brings to the table as a professional rider.
In this episode, you will find that there is more training than just regular physical. Jesse desires to break a world record and he tells us that it is a mental game that needs to be thought out thoroughly or things could go very wrong. Enjoy this episode as Jesse breaks down the mechanics of how to break a world record.
#27 Ryan Wells AZ Dirt Bike Training
When we are going into adulthood, we tend to think we need to have it all figured out. Arguably we are told that we should have it figured out by influencers and sometimes even our own parents. This can be very frustrating especially if we do not know what we want to do, or who we want to be.
Ryan grew up on a dirt bike like so many other great athletes. However his career on a bike came to a stop after a divorce between his parents. He then picked up BMX biking with some friends and crushed it at the park. The thing is about a dirt bike though, you cannot escape the feeling you get twisting the throttle and sending it down a trail, through a whoop section, up and over a rock, or up a gnarly sand mountain. That feeling cannot be replaced, and such was the case for Ryan.
After getting back on a bike, riding and racing, Ryan found himself working at a shop helping others fix up their own bikes or prepping them for races. After so many individuals requesting his help personally to prepare for their races, Ryan decided to give training sessions a try. That was when he fell in love with serving others and creating a business around training others to succeed.
