Today I sit down with a good friend of mine, probably the person I spend the most time with since we work 5 ft from each other, Kordell Nolan. We are both husbands and fathers and are dedicated to being the best men we can be for those that depend on us. We discuss confidence in life and fatherhood.

You were designed and created for greatness. Each time that you are blessed to open your eyes to a new day, that is an opportunity for greatness. Because greatness is not a destination, it’s a journey.

The competitive advantage you provide for your kids is the transfer of knowledge. You have decades of experience and skill, start passing that on now. Teach them anything and everything that you know will help them succeed. Cooking, cleaning, exercise, hard work, perseverance. Lead by words and example. Fatherhood is a blessing and also a tremendous responsibility.

The days will come and go, regardless of what you do or don’t do. If you feel like the days are passing you by and not much is happening, take control of your life. Only you can. Take control and enact change.

Your legacy will be built on the relationships you build and the impact you have. At the end of this road of life, you’ll have to answer to what you did and what you could have done. Is the trajectory you’re on going to lead you to a place where you are happy with those answers?

The words you use towards your children and around your children are immensely important. Use your words to build your children up.
