Meghan Murphy is a freelance writer and journalist, and is the founder and editor of Feminist Current. As a former criminal investigator with more than 20 years of experience in combating the intersecting criminal economies of organized crime, human trafficking, and sexual exploitation, Marcel speaks to the faulty arguments and “research” frequently held up by the pro-sex work movement.

Macrel is the Director of the Research Institute at the National Center on Sexual Exploitation (NCOSE) in Washington, D.C. This week on the Exodus Cry Podcast, we are joined by Defend Young Minds founder Kristen Jenson to discuss protecting children from porn in the digital age. Kristen is the acclaimed author of Good Pictures Bad Pictures, a digital safety expert, and the CEO of Glen Cove Press.

In 2011, Kristen found out her friend’s oldest son had sexually abused their younger children using pornography. Distraught, Kristen felt compelled to search online for resources to warn her friend’s younger children about the dangers of viewing pornography but could not find anything. She set out to create resources for parents to address pornography exposure and consumption. As she began researching and talking to parents, she realized the need was even greater. Kristen began blogging about all she was learning, and it was out of this that Defend Young Minds was born.
