4 Folgen

This collection complements a group of 'Perspective Stories' which altogether include modelled stories told from different perspectives, then a set of stories told from only one perspective.

These stories have been written to engage reluctant readers. They can be used solely as interactive stories for learners to read individually or as part of a creative writing lesson.

Each story is also available in a printed version and an MP3 of the story can be downloaded. This can be used to encourage learners to read along while listening to the story on a mobile device.

The modelled pieces could be used to show how a story can change slightly depending on which character is telling the story.

'In My Sister's Shadow' is one of the four stories that are told from only one perspective; you can encourage the learners to read the story and then use the Empathy Mindmap to focus on a character from the story and discuss what they would have heard, saw, felt etc, before going on to write the same story but from their chosen character’s perspective.

Included in the collection are printable versions of the story and MP3 soundfiles, so that the stories can be read or listened to away from the computer.
