- Kinder und Familie
Hi, I’m Jack’s Mum. About ten years ago I moved from Florida to North East England. A year ago, at the age of 43, my husband and I had our first child. Then 2020 happened. This podcast is for mothers like me out there who are just trying out motherhood for the first time while the world is going crazy around them.

Keeping a toddler busy over a rainy British summer term
Summer term is here and lots of kids are out of school. Not all toddlers have their nursery open through the whole month of August, so take advantage of some activities available for kids in your local area.
As I mention, the National Lotto Days Out is a great incentive to get kids into museums or venues where they can explore and be out of the house for a while.

Also, Kids Pass has discounted cinema tickets as well as discounts on local activities and events as well.

Episode 10: Covid Is Still Ruining My Plans after Freedom Day
Freedom Day was Monday the 19th of July. What does that mean for parents? We're still self-isolating and having lots of cases in the U.K., so how do we as parents handle the situation? Do we keep on wearing masks and social distancing, do we stop taking kids to activities altogether, or do we just go with the flow and accept that the pandemic is on its way out?

Summer Fun at Beamish
North East Family Fun
