    In 1998, Rita Hester was murdered in her Boston apartment. Rita was active in the transgender community and her gruesome death inspired Transgender Remembrance Day—but her murderer is still out there. Paul and Billy investigate Rita’s case, and also shed light on the recent murders of Merci Mack, Shakie Peters, Brayla Stone, Bree Black, Draya McCarty, Remmie Fells and Riah Milton—seven transgender women found slain in June and July of 2020. So far, only two cases have led to an arrest. We need to change that.

They look at unsolved cases in Oregon and the link to potential serial killer Bobby Jack Fowler. Fowler was a violent offender with cases in Oregon, Iowa, Texas, Tennessee and Canada. And those are just the cases we know.

    This week Paul and Billy look into the mysterious death of Tamla Horsford. In November 2018, Tamla Horsford was the only black guest at an adult slumber party in Cumming, Georgia. By all accounts she was the life of the party. But in the early morning hours she was found dead outside. With the help of Tamla's family attorney Ralph E. Fernandez, Billy and Paul try to find out how a mother of five died that night.

And with the help of Murder Squad listeners, they take a closer look at how the US Army investigates sexual assault, sexual harassment and missing persons amidst their ranks—including the case of LaVena Johnson.

    MISSING: Vanessa Guillen and Kierra Coles

    This week Paul and Billy look into two missing persons cases. The first is a soldier who went missing while on post. Vanessa Guillen was last seen at Fort Hood in Texas on April 22nd. The second is a mail carrier last seen on camera leaving her home. Kierra Coles was last seen outside her home in the Chatam area of Chicago on October 2nd, 2018.

    Neither case is related. Each in a different part of the country and separated by over a year. But both cases still have families, friends and the community looking for the women.

Great true crime podcast!

Each episode concentrates on one case. Either they’re still looking for the murderer or more victims in the listeners might be able to help out. You find out all the information you need for the case. The two men have soothing professional voices.
