Kundenrezensionen
Host is too full of herself
I appreciate that this podcasts stays up-to-date with current cases and sometimes offer interesting insight. But Host Candice DeLong is too full of herself. In a condescending and sometimes over-dramatic tone she rather emotionally judges aspects of the crime and people involved than offer analysis stemming from her professional expertise. A more matter-of-fact-tone and emphasis on her knowledge due to her profession would be more suitable. She also seems a little out of touch and has an uncritical view of the police and law enforcement agencies. Like they can’t do no harm or could never responsible for landing innocent people in jail. There are so many cases in which the police committed critical errors or used questionable methods, like reported in the podcasts „On our watch“, „Alphabet Boys“, or „The Set“ just to name a few.
To the show-notes: Every show note starts with the same (also kind of self-involved) lead: „Former FBI agent and criminal profiler Candice DeLong examines.../revisits…“. Listeners might not read as far or klick on the episode to read more (especially on Spotify) and are more interested in the case of the episode. To get more listeners hooked, you might wanna switch it up and put the info about the case at the beginning.
The background music is insufferable
Just… why? can‘t listen to the podcast anymore
