Today’s guest is Dr. Maja Goepel, political economist, member in the international Club of Rome, the new Secretary General of the German Advisory Council on Global Change (WBGU) and former Head of the Berlin Office at the Wuppertal Institute for Climate, Environment and Energy. She is furthermore, member of the Scientific Advisory Boards of Terre des Hommes Germany, the Foundation for Peace and Development, and Trustee of the Foundation for Sustainability and Democracy, Member of the Balaton Group. In her work, she focuses on system transformations toward sustainable development, new prosperity models and justice and emphasizes paradigm shifts as strategic leverage points. She loves painting the big picture and being the translator between different worldviews with the intention to create a common ground for unforeseen partnerships.
