Becoming Your Own Creative Boss — with Alex Proba, Founder and Creative Director of Studio Proba

Becoming Your Own Creative Boss — with Alex Proba, Founder and Creative Director of Studio Proba

"I just keep pushing and I don't take no for an answer". Graphic designer and renowned artist Alex Proba sat down with us and shared her artistic journey, seeking to inspire potential artists who don’t know how to get started. Growing up in a family of doctors, Alex initially thought that she would take on a career in dentistry. However, just as she was about to attend dental school, she realized this is not where her interests lie. Aiming to study graphic design and interior architecture, Alex traveled to her high school host family in Ohio and busted out her portfolio in only two weeks. Flash forward, Alex has worked as an Art Director for brands such as Kickstarter and NIKE and a Design Director for Mother New York. However, after juggling the typical workdays for years, she felt it was now or never to turn her Studio Proba business into her full-time gig. Alex's story is not only one that will inspire you to become your own boss but shows how influential the people around us can be. Enjoy!

Innovating in the Automotive Industry — with Max Tolsdorff, Head of Marketing at Polestar

Max Tolsdorff is the head of marketing at Polestar Germany. However, marketing was not his first choice when stepping into the career world. Having initially started an apprenticeship at the German Sparkasse, he soon realised that the lack of creativity was not for him. With this, he braved the jump to Innsbruck where he could combine his passion for mountain sports with studying Business Economics. Through his studies and the advancement of creative thinking, Max was interested in a career where he could combine the business side with creative solutions. Having worked with the consumer activation marketing department for Red Bull in Austria and California, Max's creative side was still not fulfilled. This led him to apply for the automotive brand, Polestar without any prior experiences in the automobile industry.
