Off We Go! Episode 5- Coral Reef Off We Go!

For this episode, we'll be making a snorkel.

We use a snorkel to help us see and breathe underwater.

Our snorkel has two parts: goggles and a breathing tube. To make our snorkel, you will need paper, a straw, and tape. Ask your grownup to help you cut one long strip of paper, big enough to wrap around your head, and two smaller strips of paper--to make the eyepieces. Take one smaller strip of paper and curl one end to the other--to make a circle. Tape it together. Do the same for the other smaller strip of paper. Then tape those two next to each other, so they look like glasses--or goggles. Then tape the longer strip of paper from one end of the goggles to the other, to make a strap that goes behind your head. Then tape your straw to one side of the goggles to make a breathing tube. One side should be able to fit in your mouth, and the other side should be up in the air...to help you breathe!
