Oh Little Town of Battersea MADS presents...

    • Darstellende Kunst

Oh Little Town of Battersea, how still we see thee lie. Need a cheer up this January.? We take you to a tower block in London where residents are all prepping to celebrate Christmas, each in their own ways. Of course, the day would not be perfect without things going wrong. And a lot goes wrong for the residents of Block 23.  Listen to our Christmas Radio Play completely devised and scripted by members of Medway Amateur Dramatics Society.

Scene 1: Santa Baby - 00:00

We begin with the Strongs. Jeremy Strong is writing his Christmas wish letter to Santa. Will it get to the big man on time?

Scene 2: Do They Know it's Christmas? - 02:40

All the residents get thrown in the blistering cold. Here we meet the Masons and the Wilsons, two families who could not be more different.

Scene 3: Silent Night - 05:57

We follow the Masons inside where they are visited by their relatives Shayne and Michelle Mason. Hopefully, they will be able to get through Christmas dinner without fighting.

Scene 4: Mary's Boy Child - 08:30

We return to the Strongs. This time focusing more on Jeremy's dad.

Scene 5: A Spaceman Came Travelling - 10:55

There is one resident on our block without a family this Christmas. They're not dead. James was just unable to celebrate it with them. Thus he's left to wander the streets of London on Christmas day.

Scene 6: I Don’t Want to Fight Tonight - 14:15

Back to the Masons and things are kicking off.

Scene 7: Driving Home for Christmas - 17:35

Don't forget about the Wilsons. Anna and Ryenne are returning home to celebrate Christmas with their son.

Scene 8: Auld Lang Syne - 22:30

Disaster finally strikes for Block 23

Scene 9: Count your Blessings - 25:32

Will the Wilsons be able to resolve their issues?

Scene 10:  The Graveyard of the Outcast Dead - 30:40
