P3: The Art of Remembering & Forgetting a Conversation with Palestinian Painter Jeanette Habash
This episodes stitches together three recordings with Palestinian painter Jeanette Habash, as she sat down to Olive Oil & Time hosts to discuss her processes as a painter. As we put together this conversation, we attempted to honor her processes of layering her work by overlapping recordings of the artist and her grandfather, Dawood Habash, who is sampled at the end recalling how the British supported Zionist colonizers.

E1: Land Before Honor
In episode 1, Nourah & Samer discuss the history of political rape used by Zionist colonizers in Palestine to expedite the ethnic cleansing of our communities, how the Palestinian national struggle attempted to counter act this with the slogan "Land Before Honor", the sidelining of the Palestinian women's movement by mainstream discourse and how this historical framework leads into the increase of domestic violence in Palestinian households and the lack of social accountability.
This podcast also gives listeners a glimpse into the lives of the hosts of this show by sharing stories and struggle of our mothers that informs the way each host engages both our society and our world.
