The events of the Red Night leave Thalassea, and the People of the Ocean, changed forever. Althea, Tawny, and Xavier find themselves cold and alone on a mountaintop the next morning and must summon the will to begin the long trek back down to the city. On their way, they discover the island now hosts some new inhabitants.
