Podcast February 2021 Machtdose

    • Musik

This is the end of our little show after 15 years (started in November 2005). Some statistics: with this last episode we’ve played 2,610 tracks from 74 countries in 135 episodes and produced 160 hours in total introducing music we really really liked and that accompanied us through all these times. You can find them all listed in a long Google-Docs-Spreadsheet with links to their release sites (as they still exists). On the last tab of the sheet you also find a list of all Machtdose-Podcast-Episodes with direct links to their mp3s.

The motivation for this thingie has declined over the last year as it was harder to find Creative Commons licensed music that passes our personal standards, probably for two reasons a) obviously in times of platforms as Spotify (where you can put your music by yourself) it isn’t as attractive to use this kind of licensing anymore and b) at least in in the last five years I’ve found the music mainly on Bandcamp and I used some more or less complex Google searches for it. And these aren’t working anymore – after Google algorithms have changed a few times too often as it seems.

Anyways, everything has to end eventually. Thanks to all our fond listeners.

By the way: In my listing above I haven’t count in the mixes I did as Machtdose (Aqual(o)unge series and others). Probably I will add one little mix after this last regular episode in a few weeks – but than that’s really it.

* Reverboy – Warmcold (feat. Santiago Georgetta)

* Alberville – Windows

* denise – got it

* GOODGIRL – Poison Girl

* K.óla – Plastprinsessan vaknar [post-dreifing]

* Isaac Schanklar – Isolation Canon (brass trio version)

* Eeem [eim] – A Few Dozen Hours to Wait

* cover athlete – sweetness ’03

* Lone Cosmonaut – Station [The Committee For Sonic Research]

* Kraftfuttermischwerk – Schon schön

* Vulpes – Druids [Amen-Tal]
