Leans Quite Liberal, But Still Worth The Listen

I’ve been listening to the Political
Gabfest for at least 10 years now, and it still remains one of my go-to Podcasts each week despite the fact that it leans quite liberal and I’m definitely NOT a Democrat. I love the sharp analysis, the range of topics covered, as well as the banter/chemistry between these three outstandingly accomplished hosts. As I said before, just be warned that it does lean quite liberal (especially hosts Emily Bazelon and David Plotz) and I do not appreciate the way they frame the arguments of “the other side” most of the time (especially Bazelon). Sometimes I genuinely feel that Bazelon doesn’t associate with anyone who’s actually a Republican or Libertarian, and that’s unfortunate. Nevertheless, John Dickerson usually acts as a good counterweight to Bazelon (though since the election of Trump, I feel that even Dickerson is leaning more and more Democratic). Regardless, and to reiterate, I do LOVE this podcast and I don’t think I’ve ever missed an episode in my decade of listening! I just have other podcasts (e.g. The Federalist) that I use as a counterweight. :-)

Hallo Sudoku ,

Witty insights for politics-nerds

I love this podcast, especially the sharp analysis of Emily Bazelon. I really enjoy the rational discussion's with its self criticism and humility; we should have more of that! It would be great if you could make the discussions more controversial though - maybe bring someone in who disagrees a bit more fundamentally?

Not to be missed

With all the higher-than-usual levels of craziness coming out the US these days, this will keep all left-leaning progressives (or as my Republican friends call us: pathetic Eurotrash) well-informed and entertained. The hosts are phenomenal, would so love me to imagine they are my besties. Come join me for a beer in Brussels!
