EPISODE SUMMARY  In this episode Joy Caffrey, Christi Daniels, and Wendy Love Edge visit with Sue Coppernoll, as she passionately speaks about “Finding Our Voices” and How to Using them Effectively. Sue has spent many years of her life as a coach and encouraging force for women to Speak, Speak Up, Speak Out, Speak Truth, Power, and Love into the World.    Sue Coppernoll’s bio:  Sue Coppernoll is a retired counselor, a poet, and Mother of five kids produced in six years in the 1950's - before the pill!  Married to Dean for 68 years, born in Galveston, Sue has lived in Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Georgia, Florida, Ohio, Arizona, Iowa, and Illinois.   Her degrees are in English and Speech from Andrew College in Cuthbert, GA, and in Social Psychology from Northern Illinois University. Sue has been an administrator of Social Service Agencies:  Planned Parenthood, the YWCA, Children's Development Center, Child Abuse Prevention, and Elder Care facilities.  Sue was Certified by AASECT as a Sex Educator and Counselor in 1973, after which she was a speaker and consultant to colleges. universities, schools, and community groups in the Midwest, including the University of Oklahoma.  For 20 years Sue owned her consulting firm, Crossroads Change Management, in Oregon, IL. In her training and counseling, career coaching for women and women's empowerment was an important part of Sue's work. Sue was ordained to a Bi-Vocational ministry in the Church of the Brethren at age 61 and for 16 years held responsibility for Ethics Training of Clergy in the Wisconsin-Illinois District of the Church.  Sue is the author of a chapbook, "The Goddess and the Golden Child" published in 1995. Her poetry was orchestrated by Jules Taylor into the Staged Reading "An Old Woman Speaks", presented in Fayetteville in  2018 and 19. Her poems were published in feminist and spirituality journals 1980-2012.  Sue has hosted  "Writing as Spiritual Practice" groups, Women's Spirituality Retreats, and Workshops. She is writing a novel, "Maudie'Story", about a young mother, a survivor of incest, who kills her own child, loses her voice, and remains mute throughout her life, the story told through Maudie's thoughts.   Sue, a Military Brat, a Corporate Wife, a Southerner displaced in the Midwest of America for 60 years, lives in Fayetteville Arkansas, where she says her Spirit is finally at home.  She can be reached by email at starbrst@cox.net., and on Facebook.
