Empowering knowledge!

I thought I sit down and thank the people that made my year special and what better way to thank a Podcaster than writing a review! A year ago I was frustrated by not finding any good podcasts to listen to, I thought there must be something out there, that's real, edgy and thought provoking. By typing in the name of some trendy herb in the search field of the podcast app, might have been Reishi or Ashwagandha, I found Katja's and Ryn's podcast. Thanks to the universe! The sparking moment was hearing Katja talk with so much fervent passion about Camomile and Ginger Tea. I had to know what it was about, I want some of this too!! The door opened to the whole universe of vibrant herbalism. I realized that I found the ultimate medicine. I always loved fancy herbal teas, but didn't know how much they can do for me and now I make my own custom blends. I am not new to alternative therapies, but I got so much more out of meeting the real and alive herb through herbalism than for example taking a Globuli of homeopathically diluted Arnica, that I was never sure of if it worked but took or gave it just in case it does. Or any supplement in a bottle. With the whole herbs there is no doubt, there is taste, smell and effect. There is walking in Nature and meeting plants in the wild. Getting outside, getting in touch with plants on a physical and sensual level. Making my own medicines for the family. It filled an emptiness that I had no idea of that it had been there. I found another puzzle piece in the picture of our alienation to ourselves and the world around us. A forgotten art of healing recovered and made accesible to me and my kids. Something positive to focus on! Katja and Ryn are so authentic and real and charming and knowledgeable. It's a joy to listen to them! I can't thank you enough for what you catalysed in my life, and what you keep giving to me through your online work.

So amazing and informative!!

Hi! I found you guys around 2-3 weeks ago and I’ve been hooked! I’m starting to explore herbalism slowly and am very interested in one day making it a career. I just bought your book and it’s great so thank you! I live in Frankfurt, Germany and it is very gloomy here this time of year and we get very little sunshine. I would still like to grow some herbs or something small during the fall and winter inside. Do you have any suggestions for something to grow in this gloomy environment? Also Katja, you have mentioned that you lived in Germany before. Do you have any recommendations for any places or people I can look into to get some more in person training or guidance here in the herbalism field? Thanks for an amazing podcast!
