Growing up in the food industry and working in her father's factory, Melissa went on to support more than 300 food and beverage clients through her first venture, Siddhi Ops. Since March 2020, she has served as Managing Partner at Siddhi Capital, which she co-founded with Steven Finn that manages an early-stage venture capital fund in the food and beverage industry.
 
In 2019, Melissa co-founded, and sits on the board of, a non-profit organization called the Women on Boards Project which was formed to ensure that board seats in the consumer packaged goods industry are filled by diverse women.
