Af: Langs die helder water van die Kaapse Waterfront, onder die warm son, is drie vriende. Annelize, Hendrik en Marlene.
En: Along the clear waters of the Cape Waterfront, under the warm sun, are three friends: Annelize, Hendrik, and Marlene.

Af: Hulle het besluit om 'n somersdag te geniet met 'n lang stap.
En: They decided to enjoy a summer's day with a long walk.

Af: Hulle het vroeg die oggend begin. Hulle was nuuskierig oor die kus se skoonheid.
En: They started early in the morning, curious about the beauty of the coast.

Af: Die pad was lank, en die son het sterk geskyn.
En: The path was long, and the sun shone brightly.

Af: Hulle het lekker gesels en om die beurt grappies vertel.
En: They chatted pleasantly, taking turns telling jokes.

Af: Almal was gelukkig en opgewonde oor die dag.
