The Village Has Nits
Who do you turn to on the tough days of parenting? When you're stuck in the trenches a phone call, a play date, or a coffee catch-up can be like oxygen.
Today, in this brand new chapter of This Glorious Mess, hosts Annaliese Todd and Tegan Natoli kick things off with a shout-out to the village. The people in your community who lift you up, spark joy, and sit with you through the tough moments.
We also welcome a very special new friend, Sarah Marie Fahd. She's here to help, or at the very least, let you vent out your parenting problems.
Plus, we introduce a new kind of recommendation, the essential items you might need to add to your parenting toolkit to help fill your cup.

Do You Still Shower With Your Kids?
When was the last time you got the girls together for dinner? According to This Glorious Mess scientific data, it's likely been at least four months since your last social catch-up.
In this episode, Libby and Tegan encourage mums to move their catch-ups from the group chat back into real life.
And they discuss whether there's a specific age when you should stop being naked in front of your kids, questioning if it's necessary to set those boundaries just yet.
Plus, stay tuned for a surprise announcement at the end of the show.

The Mothers Groups Helping With Cost Of Living
When Danni Duncan told her thousands of followers about her decision to be child-free, she was met with an outpouring of support followed by waves of negativity. Tegan gets behind the mic with Dani, asking the tough questions about her choice and how society has reacted.
Plus Tegan and Libby share their valuable tips on sourcing second, third, and fourth-hand clothing. And how the key to navigating the cost of living crisis could lie within your mothers' group.
In the recommendations, Tegan and Libby reach peak smugness as they suggest another cloth nappy and some garden tools. Who have they become?

“Every Month Feels Like A Year” The Mental Toll Of IVF
Starting a family isn't always as straightforward as it seems. After years of trying to avoid pregnancy, many women are surprised by how difficult it can take to conceive.
In this episode, Tegan and Libby discuss their own fertility journeys, sharing the challenges they faced and the experiences of those close to them. They also talk about friends who are still struggling or have decided, after many rounds of IVF, not to have children.
And in recommendations, Libby’s active 10 month old has bought a new item into the household and Tegan has spotted the perfect all in one item for a pram, bike and stroller.

‘Banned Phrases’ We‘ve Definitely Been Saying
This week Libby and Tegan unpack Maggie Dent's losing theory and why its so important for children to not win all the time.... and Libby is confused.
Plus there are some dusty old sayings that we need to scrap from our vocabulary and Libby and Tegan are guilty of almost all of them.
And in nails and fails Tegan learns not to invite Libby to a BBQ... like ever.
