Adulting ain't easy! Welcome to Flourish with Delores (formally known as We Are Still Becoming) where my friends and I have some vulnerable conversations to remind you that flourishing is about PROGRESS, not perfection.

Listen, we are dispelling the myth that we have to have it all figured out. Episodes drop twice a month on Tuesdays and I promise you that they are filled with gems and insight. I want you to know that you are not alone in the adulting struggle so we get real transparent about our journey. We discuss our challenges (like imposter syndrome, anxiety, managing money, relationships, family planning, finding time for self-care and development), and the ways that we try to navigate through our growing pains.

As you listen to each episode and hear the authentic stories of "successful" young professionals, you'll be reaffirmed that you are not alone in the adulting struggle.

Our Secret Quarantine Wedding During the Covid-19 Pandemic|Lessons Learned

Our Secret Quarantine Wedding During the Covid-19 Pandemic|Lessons Learned

“Love recognizes no barriers. It jumps hurdles, leaps fences, penetrates walls to arrive at its destination full of hope.” – Maya Angelou
Today’s episode is about how I’ve been secretly married for over three months🤐.. You’ll find out why we got married a year earlier than planned, why we’ve kept it on the quiet, and why we don’t want to keep it a secret anymore. It was unplanned and a year ahead of the formal wedding we had been planning for over a year. The pandemic definitely changed our lives & shifted all of our 2020💃🏽 & 2021 plans👰🏾. It’s ultimately for the better because I got a special head start on forever with my best friend. Yes, I still get sad and overwhelmed at the thought of skipping over special premarital events like a bridal shower💔, bachelorette party💔, and Traditional Ghanaian Engagement/Wedding 💔.
We’re still praying that we’ll be able to celebrate with our loved ones & have the wedding of our dreams when it’s safe to do so!
I want us to flourish in love!
