2K has published an official apology for its use of unskippable ads during loading screens but that by itself isn’t enough to stave off the impending doom of an in game ad apocalypse. Twitch began deleting thousands of videos due to a series of DMCA notices the company received and streamers are pissed. Nintendo removed MineCraft Steve’s victory screen from Super Smash Bros.
