This episode is my women's day speech for a Mumbai college. There is no doubt that progress has been made regarding equality over the last century. But we still have a lot of ground to cover, according to The United Nations and UNESCO-
1. more than two-thirds of the world's illiterate people are women
2. It is estimated that 60% of chronically hungry people are women and around 130 million girls are out of school worldwide.
3. Though we comprise more than 50% of the world's population, sadly, we only own 1% of the world's wealth.
