CHILDCARE IN THE DIGITAL AGE - Benefits for Parents and Children? | GERMANTECH: WORLDCHANGERS IN TECH

CHILDCARE IN THE DIGITAL AGE - Benefits for Parents and Children? | GERMANTECH: WORLDCHANGERS IN TECH

With Björn Wind, founder and CEO of voiio.

How is childcare organized today, how can digital solutions help and how far can digital childcare go in the future? And what about immediate help in times of COVID-19?

In this live episode we talk to Björn Wind, the founder and CEO of voiio, about technology in childcare and in which way digital childcare can benefit parents and children alike.  If we take a look at the past decades, fortunately, there has been some development when it comes to the compatibility of children and career plans, mostly thanks to professional childcare. Services in childcare have been growing and developing ever since and, as for GERMANTECH, it always gets exciting when technology comes into play.

Voiio is on its mission to make companies more family-friendly through digitized and individualized childcare services. Due to recent events and the need for childcare on a much larger scale Voiio additionally is offering emergency services for childcare and virtual events for children. We look forward to talking to Björn to better understand the current needs, how technology in childcare can work, and where digital childcare can or can not go in the future.

THE FUTURE OF MADE IN GERMANY - Calling Engineers to the Frontlines | GERMANTECH: WORLDCHANGERS IN TECH

THE FUTURE OF MADE IN GERMANY - Calling Engineers to the Frontlines | GERMANTECH: WORLDCHANGERS IN TECH

Where does the “MADE IN GERMANY” brand stand now and where can it and should it go in the future? What about in times of a crisis? In this live episode we talk to Prof. Dr. Achim Kempker, Chair of Production Engineering of E-Mobility Components (PEM) at RWTH Aachen Uni, about the importance of engineering in today’s world and how “Engineers Saving the World / Ingenieure Retten die Welt” is on a mission to revive makers for a better world.

Historically MADE IN GERMANY was first introduced as a label of origin & warning, which, opposed to its purpose, quickly turned into the best-known trademark for quality, precision and specialization. Germany quickly became known for its prime engineering and having created the highest density of global market leaders. However, keeping and upholding a known tradition has created barriers, such as a slow speed of digital adoption and keeping up with foreign competitors that are embracing modern and agile methods.  We look forward to talking to Achim to better understand where MADE IN GERMANY is, where it can go and how his network “Engineers Saving the World / Ingenieure Retten die Welt” can revamp the engineering industry.
