208 - A Practical Discussion on Grieving During the Holidays & the future of PWNA Podcast Pastor With No Answers: The MIXTAPE Era

    • Christianity

“It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year,” “Deck the Halls,” and “Holly Jolly Christmas” for many, but for others, it’s nothing but a “Blue. blue, blue blue Christmas.”

Many stories of grief have been shared on this podcast (Episodes 21,22,35,39,122,150) so I wanted to process the in’s and out’s of grief with a professional, especially pertaining to the holidays.  I sat down with a local therapist here in Charleston SC  for us to glean more understanding and guidance about interacting with those who are grieving.  What are the best ways to be supportive?  Are there times when it’s appropriate to push a bit?  What should one say (or not say)?

There’s also some helpful information directed towards those listening who are currently grieving during the holidays.  Merry Christmas and we remember those who do not find it merry at all.
