The 3Sense podcast is about 3 African Australian young women with different ambitions and perspectives on topics. We each have an African flare to us but grew up in different parts globe. And we all know Africans can be spicy, so we will be bringing the heat to the topics that effect us in our everyday lives.  We drew inspiration from the saying “I’ll give my 2 cents” by sharing opinions on the topics we will explore, but we put a spin on it. As inspired by the wise words of our African parents, “where is your common sense!”

African parents don’t see creative jobs as a career!

African parents don’t see creative jobs as a career!

Choosing a creative career over the traditional 9-5 academic route can be the path of most resistance. So is it worth it? On this episode we are joined by our creative girlfriend @lydie.xi to chat through the challenges we face as African Australian women pursuing creative interests in the current industry and winning or losing the support of those closest to us.
Lydie is an African Australian woman with a Rwandese heritage  and has pursued a successful and passionate career in the Arts. She is a local Brisbane singer who has used her glorious talent to break barriers in the Arts industry as one of the few African Australian women in the industry and runs her own gigs performing live at multiple events including the recent Omah Lay concert in Brisbane.
