Free Up Your Firm Grip. Jesus Take the Wheel. -083
The most important relationship of your life is the one you have with your creator. It’s easy to get caught up in the details, setbacks and approval of other people but not only will that kill our momentum towards our purpose but it will prevent us from being in tune with the very source who created us and our purpose. During a time filled with noise, politics, ever changing rules on an unknown virus, we must stand on a truth that is concrete, never changing, which is Gods promise to us. One of those promises has to do with delighting ourselves in Him. If we do, it is promised that He will give us the desires of our heart (Psalm 37:4). When we try to take matters into our own hands and control our lives with a firm grip, we are bound to be let down. When we take action towards where we authentically feel called during our short time on earth while handing the key over to our Heavenly Father, we can relax and have peace no matter the outcome. Episode 58 of A Drop of Sunshine podcast is a little.. let’s say different from previous episodes. It’s all about childbirth. I share my at home water birth experience with you. My intention with this episode is to take the fear away from childbirth, to empower women to believe in their bodies and take leadership of their intuition through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.. to share resources to help any expecting mom know the benefits of a natural childbirth verses medicated, intervened, induced birth. Sometimes those routes are necessary due to medical reason and thank God for them when needed but choosing that route off the bat due to fear of pain, is a route I want to challenge you to think differently about. With one form of intervention, there’s a domino effect of interrupting the whole primal experience which can in turn lead to complication. Whatever route you may choose, I want to challenge you to educate yourself before the birthday of your baby. Education overrides fear in any circumstance.
