Angie on writing a book and doing Traveling Village while pregnant | S2 EP12

With the village on a break before South Korea, Asha calls in to speak with Angie, who has been traveling with her partner Paul and their three-year-old daughter, while also being pregnant and launching her book.

Angie shares what it has been like to try to do all of that at once. What she thought she could handle, where it became too much, and how they ended up adjusting their plans during the Taiwan part of the journey.

They talk about the reality of balancing work and village life, the trade-offs that show up when you want to be part of everything, and what it actually means to be in Traveling Village when life doesn't slow down just because you're there.

They also get into what Angie has been working through more personally. Writing her book as a way to understand who she is, growing up between cultures, and how being in the village has changed how she thinks about work, contribution, and family life.

The podcast follows 20 families as we travel together through Vietnam, Taiwan, and South Korea as a village. This season, Asha, who joined Traveling Village 1, calls in every week to talk with different people on the trip and follow along from afar.
