Specifically its establishment by ancient Tibetan settlers who used the many river systems that flow out of the Tibetan plateau as a migration route.

Today, the AROK! hosts are joined by a special guest, Tsering, who is himself of mixed Tibetan and Mongolian heritage, and from the traditional Tibetan province of Amdo, which corresponds with the modern Chinese province of Qinghai (Mongolian: Kokonor or Huhnuur). Tsering is an expert Mongolian throat singer, Tibetan and Mongolian history expert and a talented linguist, speaking Amdo Tibetan, Oirat (Western) Mongolian, Mandarin Chinese, a decent command of Lhasa Tibetan and English.
